Due to a large number of new project wins as well as many projects in the pipeline, Aegg Creative Packaging has welcomed a new Project Manager to the team, Richard Cook, to support the expansion of its packaging lines, ensuring project delivery within budget and on time.

How are you different from other packaging suppliers?

It’s a good question, as all packaging suppliers are the same, right?Actually, no they’re not.Like every business, packaging suppliers all have their own areas that they excel in.

What does the plastics packaging tax mean for food businesses?

In April 2022, the UK Government brought in the Plastics Packaging Tax, where the importer or manufacturer of plastic packaging pays £200 tax per tonne on plastic packaging produced in, or imported into the UK, that does not contain at least 30% recycled plastic. In 2024, the scheme continues to be implemented, although the cost per tonne has increased in line with inflation to £217.85 per tonne. (This price per tonne is still valid as at October 2025).

Did you know: In addition to Aegg’s in-house UK manufacturing unit, Aegg also manufactures recyclable plastic food packaging through its exclusive manufacturing partner in Bulgaria?

According to the latest Suffolk Limited 2023 Report, Aegg Packaging appears in the ‘Ones to Watch – 50 fastest growing businesses’ in at number 24. Aegg is also listed in Suffolk’s Top 100 companies.

These trucks have been specifically chosen to enhance Aegg's existing fleet of over 30 vehicular units, showcasing the company's commitment to efficient and reliable transportation solutions.
