Celebrating its 10th year of business, Aegg, will be exhibiting at stand C27 of Easyfairs’ Packaging Innovations at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) on 26-27 February 2020 (you can register to attend for here).
With Aegg’s turnover almost doubling since this time last year, Aegg has invested £millions into its packaging logistics infrastructure to facilitate growing demand of its recyclable glass and plastic food and drink packaging supplies ranges. This means that Aegg’s ability to manage the supply chain (for example, importing glass bottles and jars and delivering to a customer’s factory doors in the UK) is now more seamless due to bringing several services in-house.
As Aegg’s PR consultant, I was invited to attend Aegg’s company briefing at its HQ in Andover, where members from the senior management team updated staff on how the company is doing in relation to its glass and plastic packaging supplies to the food and drink markets. The same company briefing was also presented to the team members at the company’s logistics site in Suffolk, too.
Aegg has created a new bespoke glass pot for Pots & Co’s new 65g lighter pudding range. The range, which launched in April 2019 is packaged in bespoke fully recyclable clear glass pots with the Pots & Co logo embedded within the base, which accentuates the premium nature of these handmade puddings.
We have launched a new range of over 20 glass packaging jars and bottles due to a big upsurge in demand for glass products. The new glass packaging products are ideally suited to jams, spreads, sauces and drinks. Products range from 210ml to 1700ml.
Welcome to 2020. 2019 was certainly fast paced with uncertainty and opportunities influencing the industry in equal measure. 2020’s packaging trends look set to be full of changes again, as the plastics/ glass debate unfolds further, set against a Brexit backdrop.
Nick Parker, Aegg’s Marketing Director, interviewed Pawel Wieczorek, Aegg’s Commercial Director and glass expert, for his thoughts on packaging supplies and the changing nature of the demand for glass food and drink packaging.
We will be showcasing our four extended glass food packaging ranges as well as our first UK warehouse facilities (which are due to open later this year) at our E8 Packaging Innovations stand at London Olympia on 11-12 September 2019.
Pawel Wieczorek, Aegg’s Head of Glass, was one of the 15,000 buyers and visitors from 120 countries attending the two-day PLMA show in Amsterdam in May 2019. We asked Pawel for his thoughts from the show...
Aegg has welcomed Pawel Wieczorek to its team as Head of Glass. This senior position within the team has been newly created to meet expanding demand for our range of glass food and drink packaging and table presentable glass pots.
