We are delighted to announce that Aegg has been named the WINNER of the SME Member of the Year award at the 2024 Glass Focus Awards. The annual awards are created by British Glass, the representative body for the UK glass industry, which celebrates the achievements, innovations, and contributions of industry leaders across the glass supply chain.

The Background to Aegg's Growth
Glass Packaging Growth Stats
Our glass packaging business grew exponentially between 2023 and 2024 and we forecast continued growth throughout 2025, despite a challenging economic and political landscape. The glass share of our business has grown by 70 percentage points between 2018 to 2024.
How Aegg has Grown
Our growth is underpinned by excellent customer service (we received 100% customer satisfaction in a recent survey), consistent stock levels, and developing sustainable partnerships with both our customers and our suppliers. What makes us different is our ability to select the best packaging options for businesses by fully and collaboratively understanding their needs.
From Injection Moulded Packaging Beginnings
Richard Drayson, Sales & Marketing Director at Aegg said “Originally Aegg produced injection moulded plastic products and supplied glass ramekins. Both remain part of our portfolio today. However, the glass packaging element of our business has been the real star growth-wise over the past few years, as we continue to strengthen our relationships with customers and suppliers, whilst providing a high level of customer service.”
Sustainability Focus
Sustainability is also a key focus for us at Aegg, and we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We are focused on continuing to develop partnerships with manufacturers engaged in reducing their carbon emissions and their wider environmental impact. We are driven by the desire to leave a positive legacy in our industry.
Investments at Aegg
To support Aegg’s growth, £5 million has been invested in renovations to create our Suffolk head office, two expansive warehouses and the acquisition of over 30 vehicle units for our in-house transport team. Given the scale of operations in Suffolk, particularly near Felixstowe docks, our decision in the past 12 months to base our teams at Eye, enhances day-to-day operations and will assist our continued expansion.
