Blog - UK Packaging Awards 2017

Thoughts from Jamie Gorman, MD at Aegg Creative Packaging

Picture the scene: the ballroom at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s prestigious Park Lane was brimming with over 800 top players from the UK packaging industry. Apparently it was the biggest Packaging Awards event to date with a record breaking number of entries and guests. The wine was flowing, the presenter Hal Cruttenden was on hilarious form and our guests on our table were all great fun.

Although Aegg Creative Packaging didn’t take home the trophy for ‘SME of the Year’ this year, we are still really proud to have been selected as one of only two finalists within the category.  We are also delighted that our company growth and over £2million investment into our new UK manufacturing factory were recognised, helping us to be selected as a finalist.

The judges commented on our awards entry “A very impressive and rapid rise for Aegg. You only have to look at the calibre of stores and companies utilising their products to appreciate the quality and a 75% turnover increase last year is outstanding”.

Congratulations to all the winners of the UK Packaging Awards 2017 and well done to everyone involved...
