Some background on Aegg's Suffolk Operations

Since moving part of our operations from Andover to Suffolk in 2019, Aegg has gone from strength to strength. The original 60,000 sq feet unit comprised of a warehouse to house our glass packaging items, such as drinks bottles and food jars. Due to demand, over £6 million has been invested in the hub, which now boasts a second unit incorporating our in-house packaging manufacturing facility as well as logistics division, totalling over 120,000 sq feet. The business expansion was partly supported by New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership through the Growing Business Fund and Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, as well as private investment.

In 2023, Aegg relocated all our administration team from Andover, Hampshire, to our hub in Suffolk, which is now officially Aegg's headquarters. The Suffolk headquarters now houses all of the company's divisions, comprising of renovated administrative offices, state-of-the-art production factory, expansive warehouse, and an extensive logistics base.

Richard Drayson, Aegg Packaging Sales and Marketing DirectorAegg’s Sales and Marketing Director, Richard Drayson, said “We at Aegg are delighted to appear in the Suffolk Limited 2023 Report. It is down to the combined hard work and dedication of all our team as well as growing demand for our packaging services.”

“In 2023, we decided to move all our divisions to Eye in Suffolk given our high volume of day to day operations here, and the close proximity to Felixstowe docks. “Our Suffolk hub has come about from the significant upsurge in demand for our glass food and drink packaging, especially food jars and drinks bottles. We also provide a range of recyclable plastic food pots, some of which are manufactured in-house and include at least 30% recycled material content, for those customers where recyclable plastic packaging is more suited to their products or business model.”
