Quality Manager Aegg Creative Packaging Ltd – Yaxley, Suffolk

Aegg Packaging is in the process of developing a new manufacturing facility at Eye (near Diss) in Suffolk to produce specialist food packaging containers and is looking to recruit a quality manager to join the site management team. 

The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining its quality and HSE systems.


Role/Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the plant General Manager
  • Lead the design and implementation of the QMS which is required to meet the ISO9001 and BRC standards
  • Hosting customer audits and carrying out supplier audits to BRC standards
  • Attend review meetings with suppliers and customers on technical and quality related topics
  • Day to day management of the quality inspection duties
  • Responsible for the complaint handling process, review and resolution with robust resolution
  • Implement continuous improvement programs and structured fault diagnoses
  • Liaise with external bodies where appropriate eg Health and Safety Executive, Local Authority, insurers, etc.
  • Be visible on the factory floor engaging all colleagues in health & safety and quality
  • Develop and establish appropriate UK safety standards and safe systems of work in accordance with the agreed business requirements through team work
  • Implement and manage risk reduction and continuous improvement programs
  • Management of customer and internal specifications
  • Be involved in new product development
  • Internal audits

Preferred experience

  • Degree/HNC qualified in an appropriate discipline
  • ISO 9001 and BRC implementation and certification (Lead auditor preferred)
  • Worked in a food/pharmaceutical/FMCG or associated manufacturing organisation
  • Nebosh diploma would be an advantage (Training will be provided to the right candidate)
  • Minimum of 3 years direct line management experience
  • Understanding of injection moulding and injection stretch blow moulding process


  • Start date as soon as possible
  • Permanent position
  • 25 days per year holiday + UK bank holidays
  • Salary based on experience
