Customer Logistics Co-ordinator

As part of the expansion of the manufacturing and warehousing facility at Eye, Suffolk, Aegg Creative Packaging have created a new position of a customer logistics co-ordinator to meet the demands of several new contracts. The successful candidate will be working as part of a small team responsible for controlling the importation of products from European and worldwide suppliers and then onward shipping to customers.

Job type: Full time permanent position – 40 hours

Location: Eye Airfield, Suffolk

Renumeration: Depending on experience

Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

Start date as soon as possible

As part of the expansion of the manufacturing and warehousing facility at Eye, Suffolk, Aegg Creative Packaging have created a new position of a customer logistics co-ordinator to meet the demands of several new contracts. The successful candidate will be working as part of a small team responsible for controlling the importation of products from European and worldwide suppliers and then onward shipping to customers.

Ideal skills and experience to be a logistics co-ordinator:

  • Full driving licence
  • Counter balance fork lift licence
  • IT literate, Microsoft Office and internet use
  • Good communication and telephone skills
  • Positive attitude when faced with new challenges
  • Knowledge of import and export procedures
  • Well organised with attention to detail
  • Warehouse stock control and management
  • Experience of working with transport companies
  • HMRC customs compliance
  • Knowledge about Incoterms 2010® 

Duties as a logistics co-ordinator include (but are not restricted to):

  • Liaising with the end customers to determine future forecasted requirements and delivery schedules
  • Placing orders with suppliers against customer forecasts
  • Monitoring order progress with the suppliers against delivery requirements
  • Interface with worldwide customs, freight forwarders/shipping lines and clearing agents
  • Receiving material in to the facility and distribution to the appropriate customer in a timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate stock holding and performing inventory counts where applicable
  • Management and where necessary loading and unloading deliveries via fork lift truck operation
  • Ensuring timely despatch of sales orders to the daily sales order
  • Updating data on all spread sheets required for exports and import compliance
  • Processing non-conforming stock on receipt and through reject procedures
  • Ad Hoc administration to support the production department
