🌱One of Aegg’s key suppliers is involved in the #Furnace4TheFuture glass furnace, which will mark a strategic milestone in achieving a climate neutral glass packaging industry with the move from natural gas to renewable electricity
At Aegg, we are mindful of the need to reduce the drivers of global warming, and other environmental issues. As a responsible player in the food & drink packaging industry we are acutely aware of our responsibilities to humanity.
🌱We have heavily invested in our logistics service, with more hubs based in ports closer to key customers, cutting down carbon emissions through transportation.
🌱Our R&D team is in development stages for a number of projects that will use less material and will include more recycled content.
🌱We aim to continue to actively engage in widespread environmental discussions, including with the UK government, which we started in early 2019 (on the plastics tax discussion).

🌱Plus we are mindful on our sites, such as having recycling facilities to reduce landfill; using LED lights and automatic sensor lighting; our latest company cars are hybrid /electric; encouraging car sharing (within regulations); using energy efficient electrical equipment; and using technology (zoom, etc) to reduce travel and the carbon footprint.
